Brent Allen Riddle

Celebration of Life Service for Brent Allen Riddle, age 65, of Wartrace, will be held 7:00 p.m. Friday, May 18, 2018 in the chapel of Doak-Howell Funeral Home with Adam Bates officiating and speakers; Joe Peters and Don Gallagher. Mr. Riddle passed from this life suddenly Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Visitation will be held Friday, from 4:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Brent Allen Riddle was born May 9, 1953, in Shelbyville to the late Coleman and Vaneda Reed Riddle.

He was a member of the Wartrace Church of Christ, a longtime member of the Wartrace Volunteer Fire Department, The SEWA Benefit Wrestling Association, one of the founders of the East Bedford Youth Football League, coached many youth sports, and cofounder of Horse and Saddle Magazine. Throughout the 70s and 80’s he participated in many rodeos, and loved to ride quarter horses. He had many stories of crazy antics in his youth on his motorcycles. He worked as a farmer and was a jack of all trades. He was a fun loving devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.

Survivors include: loving wife of 45 years, Mrs. Deborah Joan Adcock Riddle; sons, Jon Allen Riddle and Todd Coleman (Elizabeth Devries) Riddle both of Wartrace; grandchildren, Payton, Elizabeth, Addison, Ashton Riddle, Elijah and Elana Barajas; sister, Deborah (Paul) Bates of the Flat Creek Community; and brother, Brian (Tonya) Riddle of Shelbyville.
