Condolences to Henry's family...haven't seen him in many years, but he was a friend during our CHS years and a fun classmate.

Ig and I attended the service yesterday. A beautiful service filled with love for and devotion to a dear, sweet man. Our fellow classmate, Dr. Sandra Avant, Pastor of Mt. Zion Haley Missionary Baptist, officiated. George Scales served as a pallbearer. Ronald Tillman was an honorary pallbearer and presented a Class of 1971 Tribute during the service. It was wonderful to reconnect with classmates, including Carlene Brown Arnold, and an honor to meet Henry’s family and friends.  Rest in peace, Henry.

I've known Henry since 7th grade at Central Elementary, and through the years he became a very special friend-you couldn't ask for better. We heard that repeated by so many people at the funeral service. He showed love & respect for everybody he knew,  and even people he didn't know.  He was just a good, good man, and the world has lost a real treasure. As Sandra  put it during the service "I love me some Henry!".
