Thanks to everyone who sent their love and prayers—it worked! My health is much improved. My doctor calls me a walking miracle. Now it is time to heal my heart which will take longer. All of your support, contributions, love and visits have been deeply appreciated. Love you guys! Elizabeth

So glad for your recovery Elizabeth...yes, prayer works...both times that Sherry has had to battle cancer, I've looked to James 5:16 which tells us that prayer can avail much. Certainly our prayers on your behalf will continue.

We will also pray for the healing of your heart...no doubt in my mind that much will be availed there too. That healing may well be gradual, but know that healing will come.

Again, so glad for your recovery...you keep on taking good care of yourself.

Elizabeth, I am so thankful to hear you are better, but prayers will be continued for both your physical and emotional well-being. Grant is right, healing will come for your heart too. I know this has to be so hard, but please take comfort in the fact that we all love you, and are all sending our best thoughts and wishes for things to get easier. Take care of yourself!  Love you! Ig

Elizabeth, so glad to hear you are feeling better.  Never been good at giving advise, but this came from a good friend and I'll share it with you.  No, you probably won't ever get over it and there will be some days better than others, which you probably already figured out, but with the prayers and support of all the people who care about you and of course time, you will get through it.  Having good friends makes a big difference.  Hang in there and know that we are all here!

My thots and prayers go out to Vicki Dearen Bean and her family as they go thru the journey ahead of them to lay her dear dad to rest. HE passed away yesterday and I know they r just so lost without him in their life. I pray they keep their faith and they lean on our PRECIOUS LORD and let HIM wrap HIS tender, loving arms around them and they find peace and comfort knowing that Vic is in a much better place with no more pain or suffering...

I am so sorry to hear about Vic. My parents loved your parents and enjoyed being their neighbors.....especially when they brought your twins over for a visit. Please know I am praying for you and all your family during this time. What a wonderful legacy of love.

Sincerely,

Jeanie

Some of you may know, but I just found  out that the class of 72 is holding their 45th reunion June 10th at the Blue Ribbon Circle.  I talked to Teresa Wheeler-Gill and she said they were inviting other classes to attend.  She was very excited and wanted everyone to know that the class of 71 was very welcome.  She said if anyone was interested, to come around 8:00.  They are starting at 6, but the first couple of hours are for their class, then it is open to others.  There would be someone at the door.  Cost is $15.  No need to make reservations.  Sounds like a great opportunity to get together again.  If any of you have any questions, feel free to contact me and I will be happy to get in touch with her.  Hope to see many of you there.

Sandra Avent reports Evelyn Brame-Bean is back in the hospital at St. Thomas West.  The surgery developed an infection that required opening back up chest to removed the infection. We are hopeful that she may be released early this coming week to rehab facility.

Sandra Avent asks for classmates to pray for the Sims-Ewing family.  The 9 year old that is presumed drown in the Duck River on July 4th is Classmate Johnny Ewing's nephew.  Johnny's sister Mary Ewing Sims (also a Central High graduate) is the child's grandmother.

I am sorry to hear about the child drowning in
Duck river. Thanks, Jan for your posting! Is there any news about Evelyn Bean?

Patricia Robertson (McHaffie)

So sorry to hear about the drowning of the little 9 year old boy in the Duck River over the 4th of July weekend. Prayers going up for the Ewing-Sims family as they try to find peace and closure with this incident in their life. cannot even imagine what it would be like to lose a child but to lose one like this must be something that haunts u for the rest of your life. they will just have to lean on the LORD and let HIM guide them to where they can learn to live with and accept the fact that now he is will be in a better place and they will get to see him again one day...
